Sugar Ray Leonard will serve as a 2017 Co-Chair for the Ambassadors of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), a grassroots network of supporters and patient families who raise funds and awareness for the region’s top pediatric healthcare provider.
The Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation has raised more than $230,000 to support CHLA’s Center for Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism and essential programs like Teen Power for adolescents and families living with insulin dependent diabetes, and Kids N Fitness which helps overweight children and their families learn the daily practice of making healthy food and activity choices.
As Co-Chair for the Ambassadors program, Mr. Leonard will work alongside patient dad Carlos Garrido of Downey, CA to inspire the community to get involved and support children’s health.
